Frank Miller Lumber Company, a 100‑year‑old producer of premium quartersawn hardwoods, was managing distribution, inventory and retail operations with numerous disparate software packages that required manual data entry and drove up time, costs and server energy use. To address these challenges, Frank Miller Lumber Company selected Vormittag Associates' S2K Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software suite to streamline warehouse management and automate data capture.
Vormittag Associates implemented the S2K Enterprise suite to replace multiple point solutions with one integrated system—adding warehouse management, inventory and retail functionality and consolidating servers onto a single IBM Power 6 Server. The S2K deployment automated data entry, reduced wasted time, money and resources, improved management of two warehouse facilities and one retail outlet, and lowered IT costs and energy usage for Frank Miller Lumber Company.
