Software Helps Increase Twin Cities’ Habitat for Humanity Donations by 75%

Twin Cities’ Habitat for Humanity ReStore, a nonprofit resale store serving local homebuilding projects, struggled with an inefficient, unreliable donation-pickup process that created extra data entry, frustration, and limited capacity. Opened in 2008, the ReStore needed a better way to manage growing donation volume and improve donor scheduling and communication.

In 2015 they implemented Vonigo’s donation pickup software, enabling online booking, photo uploads, auto-response confirmations, and integrated routing. Within a year bookings rose 75%, the fleet expanded from one to two trucks with minimal setup, staff time spent on rework fell, sales and donations increased, and more funds were generated to support local home builds and improve donor/customer experience.
