Largest state organic organization streamlines volunteer and donor management

Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA), the oldest and largest state organic organization in the U.S., needed a better way to manage volunteers and donor engagement for its programs, especially the Common Ground Country Fair. Before using VOMO, MOFGA relied on manual, paper-based processes to track more than 1,600 volunteers, handle over 10,000 shifts for the three-day event, and analyze supporter interactions.

VOMO helped MOFGA streamline volunteer management with customizable landing pages, easier sign-up and check-in, and better data sharing after integrating with Virtuous CRM and RaiseDonors. In the first year, MOFGA registered over 1,600 volunteers and recorded nearly 20,000 volunteer hours, representing an estimated $440,000 in economic impact, while also reducing staff workload and improving the volunteer experience.
