Jindal School of Management - UT Dallas needed a reliable way to make Community Engagement a required part of their undergraduate curriculum while accurately tracking student service hours and simplifying interactions with community partners. They selected VOMO as the volunteer-management platform to help recruit, manage and log volunteer activity across the program.
VOMO’s software lets JSOM track individual service hours, monitor project participation, manage partner rosters, and verify hours. Using VOMO, JSOM OutREACH engaged 142 volunteers in 2020, volunteers produced an estimated economic impact of over $300,000 in the first year, and several students moved into jobs or leadership roles with partner organizations.
