City of Washington D.C. - Customer Case Study

The City of Washington D.C. needed to coordinate a large, single-day volunteer effort across the capital—serving local food banks, the National Park Service, the Office of Volunteerism for the City of Washington D.C., and more than 400 nonprofit partners—and partnered with VOMO to mobilize and manage that scale of volunteer engagement.

VOMO organized the Together 2016 mobilization, delivering 562 volunteer projects, training 3,000 leaders and engaging 12,000 volunteers who contributed 37,200 labor hours; the effort culminated in a 450,000-person celebration, generated a $930,000 economic impact, and earned the National Park Service’s Exceptional Service Award.
