How One Mom Started Cordy and Ike's from Her Living Room

Cordy & Ike's is an Austin-based online baby goods shop founded in 2016 by Monica Weaver after the birth of her second child. Built from her living room, the brand specializes in cloth diapers, toys and other natural-parenting products and was inspired by fellow parent-entrepreneurs. The main challenge was scaling a one-woman operation—Weaver handled IT, marketing, purchasing and fulfillment herself, storing inventory in a guest bedroom and struggling with capacity as demand grew.

Weaver launched cordyandikes.com and relied on careful planning and day-to-day operational discipline (spreadsheets and hands-on work) to expand her product line and steadily grow her customer base. The business has gained traction and is now preparing to move into leased space for warehousing or a storefront to support further growth.
