WHAM Realizes Huge Return on Investment from VolunteerHub

West Houston Assistance Ministries (WHAM) needed a faster, more sustainable way to manage volunteers across its food pantry, resale store, and client services. Before using VolunteerHub, volunteer data was handled manually, which created errors, delayed scheduling, and consumed too much staff time for a single volunteer manager overseeing a high-volume program.

VolunteerHub implemented automated volunteer registration, centralized data management, online sign-ups, reminder emails, OnSite Check-In, and Sterling background check integration. As a result, WHAM saved 10–15 hours per week, grew its active volunteer base and corporate partnerships, and supported more than 1,400 volunteer opportunities after launch. WHAM also reported that increased donations helped pay for three years of VolunteerHub in just nine months.
