VolunteerHub Helps Holocaust Museum Houston Increase Volunteers by 478%

Holocaust Museum Houston, a 70,000 sq. ft. institution that reopened after a $34M expansion, needed to scale volunteer recruitment and management to support new galleries, programs, and daily operations. The museum had been using Google Forms and Excel and required a solution that could run reports, sync with Blackbaud Altru, and streamline onboarding—challenges that intensified with expansion and the constraints of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The museum implemented VolunteerHub, leveraging features like Landing Pages to move recruitment, onboarding, and training online and synchronize data with their CRM. As a result, active volunteers grew from 14 to 81 (a 478% increase), plus more than 70 docents, allowing continuous recruitment and stronger support for museum operations.
