Case Study: St. Louis Area Foodbank achieves streamlined volunteer management and increased impact with VolunteerHub

A VolunteerHub Case Study

Preview of the St. Louis Area Foodbank Case Study

The St. Louis Area Foodbank is using VolunteerHub to manage volunteers, communicate with partners, fill opportunities, and increase impact

St. Louis Area Foodbank, the largest food-distribution charity serving eastern Missouri and southwestern Illinois across a 26-county region, relies on more than 16,500 volunteers and provided over 35 million meals last year. Rapid growth in volunteers and corporate partners exposed the limits of a manual system: multiple spreadsheets for sign-ups, rosters and partner communications was time-consuming and made it hard to track volunteer impact.

The Foodbank implemented VolunteerHub and, over seven years, has used group sign-ups, targeted notifications and reporting to organize volunteers by corporate sponsor, send group-specific communications, and pull rosters, sign-in sheets and participation trends. The solution streamlined volunteer management, sped access to contact and attendance data, improved special-event coordination, and strengthened the organization’s ability to measure and analyze volunteer impact.
