Voltus worked with a leading food processing facility that wanted to lower its electricity costs and create a new revenue stream through demand response while also supporting grid reliability and ESG goals. The facility identified electricity as a major expense and looked for a way to participate without disrupting operations.

Voltus evaluated the site, identified 8 MW of curtailable load, and installed its Voltlet energy monitoring device along with access to the Voltus platform for real-time visibility and reporting. With clear dispatch guidance and a curtailment plan that included shutting down CO2 production, the facility earned over $18,000 per month on average in 2022, generated more than $220,000 in revenue that year, and avoided 158 metric tons of CO2 emissions.
