Entertainment arena generates over $19,000/month supporting electric grid reliability

Voltus worked with a leading entertainment company that operates an arena facing high electricity costs. The customer wanted to create a new revenue stream through demand response while supporting grid reliability and advancing its ESG goals.

Voltus evaluated the site’s demand response eligibility, identified 1.5 MW of curtailable load, and installed its Voltlet monitoring device alongside access to the Voltus platform for real-time energy visibility and reporting. With Voltus coordinating dispatch and the customer following a curtailment plan, the arena generated over $19,000 per month on average in 2022, produced more than $233,000 in total in 2022, and avoided 19 metric tons of CO2 emissions.
