Rainbow Broadband Delivers Premium Internet to Businesses in New York with a Vology and Juniper Network

Rainbow Broadband, a regional managed service provider delivering premium Internet to commercial customers in New York City, needed a network that could keep up with rapidly growing demand for more uptime, bandwidth, and lower latency. To meet those expectations, Rainbow worked with Vology and Juniper Networks to evaluate and source a carrier-grade routing, switching, and security foundation, including the MX480 3D Universal Edge Router, QFX5100 Series Switch, EX2200/EX3300 Ethernet Switches, and SRX1500 Security Gateway.

With Vology’s guidance, Rainbow implemented a highly available Juniper-based core network that used Virtual Chassis technology and Junos OS to simplify operations and speed deployment. The result was improved reliability and performance, with latency dropping from 2.5 ms to 0.3 ms, and the ability to offer higher-speed services at 10 and 40 Gbps. Vology and Juniper helped Rainbow build a flexible platform for continued growth while delivering a better experience for its customers.
