Empath Health, a nonprofit integrated healthcare and hospice network serving Pinellas County, needed a more reliable and secure IT environment to support its mobile workforce and meet growing HIPAA and privacy requirements. Staff were struggling with unstable network access to patient records and documentation tools, and their internal IT team lacked the breadth and depth needed to manage the complex environment on its own. Vology stepped in with managed IT services to help address these challenges.

Vology assessed the environment, replaced outdated servers, laptops, and other equipment with newer technologies from Cisco, HP, and more, and took over IT administration through Workstation Management and 24/7/365 Help Desk support. Vology also provided on-site and dedicated remote service desk staff, along with disaster recovery support, giving Empath a stable infrastructure and dependable access to critical files and forms. As a result, Empath Health’s staff could work more confidently from homes or hospitals while maintaining HIPAA compliance and delivering care more effectively.
