Doctor Car Parts, the online division of Kens Auto Spares Ltd, is a UK car parts seller with a rapidly growing catalogue and heavy data demands. As eBay changed its vehicle parts and fitment requirements, the company needed a platform that could manage large SKU volumes, reduce manual processes, and support multichannel growth. Volo Commerce was chosen for its vehicle compatibility module and ability to handle big data at scale.

Volo Commerce implemented an end-to-end ecommerce and stock management solution covering listings, data feeds, purchase ordering, goods-in, customer service messages, warehousing, and analytics via Volo Vision. The results were strong: Doctor Car Parts grew to just over 1 million SKUs, saved at least two staff members’ worth of work, and surpassed year 6 sales with Volo in the first five months of year 7. The company also reported nearly three times more eBay business in 2013 than in the second half of 2012 and over three times as much on Amazon, with improved shipping and courier efficiency.
