Woodbine Entertainment Group is Canada’s preeminent racing and entertainment organization, operating a 264-hectare flagship racetrack, multiple casinos, restaurants, bars and off-track betting venues that host events for over 50,000 guests. Faced with a patchwork of legacy POS systems across its multi-location complex, Woodbine sought a single, secure enterprise solution with CRM, wireless/mobile capability, and the flexibility to support complex, high-volume event days.

Volanté implemented an enterprise POS across Woodbine’s venues — more than 200 registers in a mixed Linux/Windows environment — providing club member tracking, gift-card and rewards management, voucher redemption, credit-card integration, kitchen displays and mobile tablet computing. The integrated system ties into Woodbine’s player-reward application, lets staff access menus from any location, and significantly increased reliability and operational efficiency while reducing errors.
