A fortune 500 fast-food restaurant chain sought to modernize its food inventory management system. The company required a connected solution to track food stock in its factories, ensure timely delivery, manage usage, and automatically track expiry dates. VOLANSYS was enlisted to develop an innovative solution to meet this challenge.

VOLANSYS developed a comprehensive system using RFID tags on food containers and deployed its Modular IoT Gateway in the restaurants to gather data. They integrated the tags with Ayla cloud software, processed using Blockchain, and developed custom gateway firmware and algorithms. The solution provided efficient inventory management with smarter workflows, reduced supply-chain costs, and complete visibility. It also ensured the automatic trashing of expired food, preventing it from being served to customers.
