Kärcher, a global provider of cleaning technology, sought to enhance its fleet management service for cleaning machines, aiming to offer customers greater efficiency and oversight. The challenge was to provide real-time data on machine status, location, and maintenance needs to improve operational reliability. To achieve this, they partnered with vendor Vodafone Global Enterprise to implement an IoT solution.

The solution implemented by Vodafone involved using its Managed IoT Connectivity Platform and Remote Monitoring and Control (RMCS) service. Globally enabled Vodafone SIMs were installed in the machines to transmit data to a customizable dashboard, allowing for bidirectional communication and preventive maintenance planning. This resulted in significantly increased machine utilization and reduced downtime for Kärcher's customers, providing a powerful differentiator in the market. Vodafone's expertise and international platform were crucial to the solution's success.
