Case Study: VanMoof achieves global e-bike tracking and theft protection with Vodafone IoT

A Vodafone Global Enterprise Case Study

Preview of the VanMoof Case Study

VANMOOF makes urban cycling safer with Vodafone IoT

VanMoof, the urban e-bike company founded in 2008, needed a way to add GPS connectivity to its bikes so it could help combat theft and support commuter route mapping. To solve this challenge, VanMoof turned to Vodafone Global Enterprise and Vodafone Global SIMs for worldwide bike connectivity.

Vodafone Global Enterprise implemented Vodafone Global SIMs embedded in the bike frames, managed through the Vodafone Managed IoT Connectivity Platform, giving VanMoof a single platform to oversee SIMs globally with consistent pricing. The solution enabled robust bike tracking, added roaming redundancy via a secondary network if needed, and simplified worldwide rollout, while also boosting VanMoof’s marketing credibility through its partnership with Vodafone.
