thyssenkrupp Elevator needed a reliable, globally scalable connectivity solution for MAX, its cloud-based preventative maintenance service for elevators. The goal was to reduce elevator downtime by enabling machine data from lifts around the world to be captured and transmitted securely to the cloud.

Vodafone Global Enterprise provided Vodafone SIMs and the Vodafone Managed IoT Connectivity Platform, integrated with thyssenkrupp Elevator’s Microsoft Azure cloud environment. The solution enabled centralized SIM management, cost control, and global device administration, with more than 100,000 IoT SIMs installed globally by mid-2017 and plans to equip around one million elevators across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
