Somfy evolves home automation with Vodafone IoT

Somfy, the French smart home company behind TaHoma®, needed a way to keep home automation devices connected in residences where fixed internet access was unavailable or impractical, such as second homes or remote locations. To solve this, Somfy turned to Vodafone Global Enterprise and Vodafone IoT connectivity.

Vodafone Global Enterprise implemented the Vodafone Managed IoT Connectivity Platform with a small pre-configured router dedicated to Somfy, automatically activated and connected via roaming. This provided reliable, always-on connectivity for remote home control, alerts from sensors and programmed events, and simpler management, giving Somfy full coverage and a plug-and-play solution for customers.
