Smart machines enable ICE to rethink commercial cleaning

International Cleaning Equipment (ICE), a Chinese manufacturer of commercial cleaning equipment, faced the challenge of moving from a traditional sales model to a leasing service. To do this, ICE needed to remotely monitor its leased equipment's performance data worldwide to provide proactive service and maximize value for its customers. They partnered with vendor Vodafone Global Enterprise to implement a connectivity solution.

Vodafone provided its Global M2M Platform service, which used M2M SIMs installed in the cleaning machines to collect and transmit performance data from any global market. This solution ensured consistent, scalable connectivity managed from a single platform. As a result, ICE successfully launched its new leasing service, established itself as a pioneer, and projected a 60-70% growth in revenues for 2016, with new customers joining monthly.
