Prompt Softech is a technology solutions provider for India’s dairy sector that set out to reduce inefficiencies in the milk supply chain. To centralize data from its electronic weighing scales, data logging software, and milk fat measurement devices, it needed a way to collect and analyze production information across many local collection points. Vodafone Global Enterprise provided the managed IoT connectivity needed to support this challenge.

Using the Vodafone Managed IoT Connectivity Platform, Prompt Softech created the Automatic Milk Collection System to weigh and analyze milk at the point of collection and send the data to a central record. Vodafone’s managed connectivity service lets Prompt Softech activate SIMs as devices go live and manage all devices from a single platform, helping the company scale rapidly. The solution has already connected 1,000 villages, with plans to reach 18,000 villages within three years, and is helping build a national view of Indian dairy production.
