Mahindra REVA makes the connected car a reality with IoT connectivity from Vodafone

Mahindra REVA Electric Vehicles, the Bangalore-based pioneer of electric vehicle technologies, wanted to bring its vision of a connected car to life by enabling owners and service teams to remotely access vehicle features and functions. To support this, the company needed a reliable way to deliver secure data connectivity to vehicles across India and beyond, and turned to Vodafone Global Enterprise for an IoT connectivity solution.

Vodafone Global Enterprise provided secure managed connectivity through its Internet of Things network, helping power the Mahindra REVA e2o’s connected-car services. The result was reliable remote access via smartphone app or webpage, including battery status checks, air-conditioning control, door locking and unlocking, charging-station lookup, and automatic SMS alerts for issues such as an unlocked door or charging fault. Vodafone Global Enterprise also enabled proactive vehicle monitoring for service teams, helping Mahindra REVA stay ahead of competitors and support future international expansion.
