Kurita Water enables real time monitoring of water conditions

Kurita Water Industries Ltd., a global water treatment company, faced the challenge of expanding its innovative S.sensing® remote water monitoring service globally. Their existing system struggled to meet the need for rapid, high-volume data collection across international borders. To achieve this global expansion, Kurita required a secure, real-time monitoring system with a user-friendly portal and the potential to reduce operating costs, leading them to issue an RFP with the help of partner Toshiba.

Vodafone IoT provided the solution by partnering with Toshiba to implement its global, seamless network and Managed IoT Connectivity Platform. The solution utilized Vodafone's global SIMs and MachineLink 3G Plus terminals to enable secure, flexible, and low-cost data communication for Kurita's systems worldwide. This allowed S.sensing® to successfully expand, obtaining real-time water treatment data from anywhere and enabling operation from PCs or mobile devices. The result was a foundation for global business growth, with the system providing high customer satisfaction and the potential for significant cost reduction on a global scale.
