ICE Gateway, a provider of real-time services and digital infrastructure for smart cities, faced the challenge of finding a cost-effective, reliable, and secure way to network its intelligent gateways. Their solution required high-bandwidth connectivity to support a wide range of applications, from smart lighting to traffic monitoring, and needed to integrate private APNs for data safety. They turned to Vodafone Global Enterprise for an IoT connectivity solution.

Vodafone implemented a private network using its managed connectivity service and individual SIM cards for each gateway. This provided the secure, reliable, and scalable plug-and-play connectivity ICE Gateway needed. The solution was first proven at Vodafone's own head office, resulting in an 80% reduction in energy costs through smart lighting management. Vodafone's global reach and dedicated infrastructure will now enable ICE Gateway to roll out its multi-functional services across European cities.
