Dräger helps prevent drink driving with Vodafone IoT

Dräger, a company that makes life-saving safety products, wanted to improve the way its Dräger Interlock® 7000 immobiliser reported drink-driving incidents. Previously, data captured by the device could sit at a garage until the car’s next service, delaying notification to authorities for months.

Vodafone Global Enterprise provided Global SIM cards for the Dräger Interlock® 7000, enabling data to be sent immediately to Dräger’s data centre and on to the relevant authorities. As a result, reporting time was reduced to about half an hour, making the system more effective and helping remove repeat offenders from the road much sooner.
