Water Corporation, a major water utility in Western Australia, faced challenges with limited and inflexible legacy copper-based connectivity across its 95 sites, many of which are in extremely remote locations. This aging infrastructure resulted in frustratingly slow speeds and poor network resilience, hindering staff access to information. They partnered with Vocus to modernize their network and find a flexible, high-speed solution.

Vocus implemented a unified network solution using fibre, including nbn™ Enterprise Ethernet and direct fibre, and Vocus Satellite – Starlink for the most remote sites. This provided a large increase in bandwidth and consistent, metro-grade connectivity for all staff. The project was delivered on time and on budget by Vocus, ensuring service continuity and giving the utility the ability to easily increase bandwidth in the future.
