Westfield creates 2,500 collaborative seats with Vocon

Vocon partnered with Westfield, a super-regional insurer, to help it envision a new work environment for its growing workforce. The challenge was to design a futuristic and flexible campus that moved beyond traditional, assigned offices to emphasize choice and technology, while also unifying decades of building additions into a coherent whole.

The solution designed by Vocon eschewed private offices in favor of spacious departmental zones and 23 distinct workplace areas. The new campus features 2,500 collaborative seats and 1,335 individual workstations, including options for mobile workers like private pods and café seating. Key amenities include a central courtyard, expansive balconies, and a new cafeteria, all designed to promote connection and productivity. The project, which is WELL Certified, resulted in a 440,000 SF campus that provides employees with a truly egalitarian and flexible space.
