BookMyShow (BigTree Entertainment), India’s leading online entertainment ticketing portal with over 30 million customers and peak days exceeding 1 million ticket sales, needed to modernize and scale its datacenter to handle massive, bursty transaction volumes and speed up mobile app feature rollouts. The challenge was to create a future-ready, highly available and high-performance infrastructure that could absorb spikes during weekends and events while reducing time to market for new capabilities.

Working with implementation partner NxtGen, BookMyShow deployed a fully virtualized, hyper-converged environment using VMware vSphere, vRealize Operations, vSAN and vCenter. The software-defined, full‑flash solution delivered 100% virtualization, the ability to scale on demand, developer agility with containerized testing, and cut feature rollout times from days to seconds—supporting up to 10 million ticket bookings and 3 billion page-views per month.
