Case Study: United Wagon Company achieves improved operational stability and data security with VMware NSX Data Center and vRealize Network Insight

VMware software-defined solutions help to improve infrastructure monitoring and reduce the time needed to respond to IT events

Research and Production Corporation United Wagon Company (RPC UWC) is Russia’s largest freight-car manufacturer with a modern production campus in Tikhvin. Facing digital-transformation demands, the company needed to boost IT operational stability, data security, network throughput and disaster‑recovery capabilities while lowering infrastructure costs and administration overhead.

RPC UWC deployed VMware NSX Data Center and VMware vRealize Network Insight with partner SoftwareONE, integrating the NSX platform into its Tikhvin data center and linking it to other sites. The rollout improved service availability and monitoring, shortened incident‑response times, simplified security policy management and reduced the number of specialists required, while enabling a shift from physical to virtual servers and plans to raise virtualization from about 50% toward 80%.
