Case Study: Ipca Laboratories achieves 34% reduction in IT management and streamlined audit reporting with VMware vCloud Suite

A VMware Case Study

Preview of the Ipca Laboratories Case Study

VMware helped Ipca to achieve self-driven operations and gain full visibility across its datacenter

Ipca Laboratories, a Mumbai‑headquartered international pharmaceutical company and one of India’s top exporters, manufactures APIs, intermediates and formulations for markets in the EU, USA and ~120 countries. Operating in a tightly regulated FDA environment across nine dispersed locations, Ipca faced siloed IT operations, duplicated skilled staff at each site, limited central visibility of virtual resources and difficulty producing audit‑ready reports.

Ipca upgraded its VMware vSphere environment to a private cloud using VMware vCloud Suite (with vRealize), building a software‑defined datacenter and disaster‑recovery architecture that enabled self‑service provisioning, centralized monitoring and improved log management. The solution provided a single dashboard for utilization, alerts and analytics, sped up audit reporting and automated processes — yielding a 34% reduction in IT management effort and a 31% reduction in administrative tasks while optimizing manpower and simplifying compliance.
