Case Study: Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals achieves 90% faster application provisioning and 80% datacentre hardware reduction with VMware

A VMware Case Study

Preview of the Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals Case Study

VMware helped Apollo make its IT infrastructure agile and dynamic to cater to the evolving business requirements

Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, a network of more than 64 super-speciality hospitals headquartered in Delhi, faced difficulty maintaining centralized control and consistent IT service delivery across disparate locations. The organization needed a more agile, consolidated infrastructure to increase application availability, gain visibility into resource utilization, and reduce its datacentre footprint while ensuring high availability for critical systems.

The hospital deployed VMware vSphere with Operations Management and VMware vCenter to virtualize and optimize its infrastructure. As a result, application provisioning time dropped by over 90%, hardware footprint fell by about 80%, power costs and datacentre space were significantly reduced, and the IT platform now provides unified high-availability and disaster-recovery capabilities with no external vendor lock-in.
