A VMware Case Study
ABC Inc. is a global business-services firm with about 12,000 employees and offices in the US, Europe and Japan that relies heavily on email, video, chat and voice to serve a mixed customer base. Faced with rapid service demand, a growing remote workforce and increasing dependence on cloud apps, its legacy mix of MPLS, Ethernet, DSL and broadband could not deliver the scalability, security and QoS required.
After a successful POC, ABC Inc. deployed VMware NSX SD‑WAN by VeloCloud across its sites and home offices using zero‑touch provisioning and a phased over‑the‑top rollout, retiring costly MPLS/Ethernet contracts. The SD‑WAN enabled a company‑wide VoIP migration with dynamic multi‑path optimization, centralized QoS and full network visibility; results included faster deployment, active‑active redundancy, elimination of dropped calls, robust analytics and an immediate 55% cost savings while supporting remote work and global expansion.
