Telin Singapore, a subsidiary of PT Telkom Group and operator of the Tier‑IV Telin-3 data center, needed to rapidly build out an SDDC while improving security, operational efficiency and energy use to meet green data center standards. The company faced tight timelines to virtualize infrastructure and desktops, support diverse customer security requirements, and accelerate time-to-market amid limited in‑house expertise.

Telin deployed VMware Validated Designs and a VMware stack (vSphere, vSAN, NSX, vRealize) and virtualized desktops with Horizon 7, allowing engineers to deploy, automate and monitor the SDDC quickly. The rollout cut infrastructure build time to about four–five months (and reduced customer provisioning from three months to three weeks), lowered TCO by 20–30%, improved security and operational efficiency, and enabled more energy‑efficient, centrally managed virtual desktops.
