A VMware Case Study
SuperChoice, one of Australia’s first e‑commerce SaaS platforms for superannuation payments, was constrained by aging infrastructure, rising security threats and recurring performance dips and outages that threatened timely payments and customer trust. Public cloud options proved costly and misaligned with their existing architecture, so they needed a migration path that avoided customer disruption while meeting strict regulatory security requirements.
SuperChoice moved to Macquarie Cloud’s private infrastructure running VMware vSphere and NSX, extending Layer 2 networking to preserve IPs, security zones and policies during migration. The solution enabled automated per‑customer VPNs and per‑VM firewalls, eliminated outages, improved transaction response times, cut RAM usage by about 30%, and provided a single‑view self‑service portal—delivering stronger security, better performance and positive customer feedback.
