A VMware Case Study
Phact is a Dutch IT company in Venray that develops high-performance hardware and software to support organisations’ digital transformations. Faced with the need for very short time-to-market, fast automated roll-out of physical hosts and VMs, a robust storage platform to guarantee near‑100% uptime for management systems, and higher service levels for clients, Phact moved to a Software Defined Data Centre model to remove deployment bottlenecks and improve reliability.
Phact implemented a high‑availability, automated and scalable VMware-based infrastructure (vCenter, vSphere and vSAN), using templates and orchestration to reduce host and VM roll-out to minutes, redundant vSAN storage policies and a dedicated management cluster for resilience, and centralized monitoring for proactive management. The result is near‑100% uptime for management tools, faster deployments and updates, on‑the‑fly capacity scaling, lower TCO and more engineer time freed for innovation.
