Nigay, a family-run caramel specialist operating across five continents from Feurs and Nesle, needed to modernize and secure its aging infrastructure to support international growth, streamline data collection and production monitoring, and meet regulatory demands like GDPR. The company’s challenge was to unify industrial and administrative IT on a single, highly available platform that would simplify provisioning, improve governance, and enable more innovative industrial processes.

Working with integrator Soluceo, Nigay deployed a VMware Software‑Defined Data Center (vSphere, vSAN, NSX and vRealize) to build a private, software‑managed data centre in three stages over eight months. The virtualised environment delivered application availability without user downtime, stronger security and micro‑segmentation, faster provisioning, improved monitoring and capacity planning, and safe test environments for apps like SAP—positioning Nigay to pursue hybrid cloud, a digital app catalogue and SD‑WAN next.
