Manufacturing Processes at Aircraft Industries Are Safer, Faster and More Precise

Aircraft Industries is a Czech manufacturer of L 410 turboprop aircraft with more than 80 years’ tradition and over 1,000 employees. The company’s aging storage and data‑center infrastructure constrained IT capacity, caused slow nightly database processing that delayed production planning, and limited security, consolidation and future growth.

To address this, Aircraft Industries deployed a hyperconverged infrastructure using VMware vSAN and vSphere across three redundant data centres on Lenovo vSAN nodes. The upgrade eliminated production performance issues, dramatically shortened nightly backups and reporting, increased compute capacity and resilience, and improved data security—making manufacturing safer, faster and more precise and enabling future expansion, including new aircraft projects.
