A VMware Case Study
LÖSEV, a Turkish foundation that runs LÖSANTE and the new 500‑bed LÖSEVKENT hospital in Ankara to care for children with leukemia, faced operational strain from legacy physical servers: slow updates, hard-to-manage monitoring, backup and performance issues, and a high risk of disruption to its 24/7 clinical services. Moving to a modern, resilient IT platform was essential to maintain uninterrupted patient care and improve efficiency.
LÖSEV implemented a VMware‑based virtualization strategy—vSphere, VSAN and Horizon VDI—to virtualize servers, storage and 500 desktops. The result is a secure, centrally managed environment accessible from PCs, thin clients, tablets or phones, with near‑instant updates, stronger data protection, lower energy and support costs, and a substantially reduced total cost of ownership while ensuring continuous hospital operations.
