JOIN Experience: a software-defi ned infrastructure to preempt the future

JOIN Experience is a Luxembourg-based 50/50 joint venture (JOIN Wireless and POST Luxembourg) that launched as a “third generation” telecom operator with a 4G license, combining mobile services and IT cloud offerings for consumers, SMEs and M2M projects. Facing rapid international ambitions, support for MVNO customers and unpredictable growth, the company needed a flexible, robust and multitenant IT infrastructure that could be deployed quickly and governed centrally.

JOIN built a software-defined data center using VMware technologies (vSphere, NSX, vCloud Automation, vCenter Operations and Chargeback) to virtualize compute, network, storage and applications and automate service delivery. The result is an orchestrated, secure platform that provisions telecom and cloud services via a single sign-on interface, supports isolated M2M and MVNO environments, and delivers the scalability and agility to meet short- and long-term growth targets.
