IQMS modernizes data center with vmware vrealize

IQMS, a Paso Robles–based ERP provider for manufacturing, needed to modernize its data center to compete with larger rivals while controlling costs and risk. The company’s priorities were to speed development cycles and adopt DevOps, cut provisioning times, and improve customer training, service, and support.

IQMS built a private cloud on VMware SDDC and deployed VMware vRealize Suite (vRealize Automation and Operations) and Horizon to automate VM provisioning and deliver virtual training desktops. As a result, provisioning times dropped by 95 to about 11 minutes, 90% of workloads are virtualized, developer and QA productivity improved up to 20%, SAN space was reclaimed, and the company achieved faster releases, better support, and measurable cost savings.
