HedgeServ, a New York–based provider of SaaS fund administration for hedge funds, was experiencing rapid, exponential growth and needed to scale its IT safely while accelerating application delivery to stay competitive. HedgeServ deployed VMware Integrated OpenStack on its existing vSphere infrastructure (with vRealize Log Insight for monitoring), giving developers self-service provisioning and vendor-neutral APIs. The on‑premises cloud achieves 100% API uptime, lets teams provision large VM fleets in under 30 minutes, cut QA runs from ~18–19 hours to 5–6 hours, and moved releases from monthly to weekly or daily—improving developer productivity, reducing operational overhead (managed by two IT staff), and supporting continued growth and innovation.
