Harro Höfliger Achieves Greater Agility Thanks To A Hyperconverged It Infrastructure

Harro Höfliger, a medium‑sized manufacturer of production and packaging systems for pharmaceutical, medical‑device and consumer brands, needed a more performant, scalable and highly available IT platform as its server and storage contracts were expiring. The company wanted to keep its VMware environment and trusted partners while finding a solution that would simplify administration, improve disaster recovery and secure future investments.

In partnership with EBF Systec and Fujitsu, Harro Höfliger migrated to a hyper‑converged Fujitsu Integrated System PRIMEFLEX for VMware vSAN, deploying ten PRIMERGY RX2540 nodes across two identical data centers with transparent failover and a rolling investment plan. The result was faster deployment, centralized vCenter management, optimized storage through deduplication and compression (reducing effective use to about 50 TB of ~75 TB), improved scalability and high availability—delivering greater agility and simpler operations.
