Fpt Slovakia Achieved More Than 30 Percent Savings by Transitioning to Cloud

Fpt Slovakia, a Košice‑based IT services firm of about 250 specialists, needed to replace a costly legacy on‑premises infrastructure to reduce operating costs, improve remote connectivity for its global parent network, and build a comprehensive, modern cloud platform while keeping the provider close to reduce latency and improve responsiveness.

Working with Slovak cloud provider Slovanet, Fpt Slovakia deployed an end‑to‑end VMware‑based cloud (NSX, vSAN, vCloud Director, Horizon) and moved to IaaS/PaaS/SaaS with VDI/DaaS, enabling BYOD and secure remote access. The virtualized, highly automated environment delivered faster deployment and scaling, improved productivity and responsiveness, and cut IT operating costs by more than 30%.
