Fondazione Diamante Transforms its IT Infrastructure with VMware

Fondazione Diamante is a non-profit in Italian-speaking Switzerland that helps adults with disabilities find work and runs 25 centres across Canton Ticino. With 200 staff supporting over 600 beneficiaries, the foundation faced fragmented IT: each site had its own PC for logging activities, causing slow, inconsistent data entry, limited workstations and time‑consuming software distribution.

Working with 4IT Solutions, the foundation virtualised servers and desktops using VMware Horizon and VDI, deploying central hosts and thin‑client access across local sites. In just over six months this increased available workstations by more than 60% (12 at HQ and 60+ locally), eliminated queues, centralised user profiles and software updates, automated backups and improved data security—making data entry faster, more consistent and easier to manage.
