Engineering a scalable messaging solution with public cloud adoption

mGage India is the country’s largest mobile engagement and communication provider, serving over 1,500 enterprises and the Government of India and processing more than 6.2 billion messages per month. After a sudden surge in transactional messaging following demonetisation, the company needed on-demand scalability and elasticity, seamless integration of its private cloud with public cloud, consistent network policy enforcement, and relief from bandwidth-related performance issues.

By deploying VMware NSX to create a hybrid, interconnected cloud, mGage achieved seamless extension between private and public environments, enabling rapid scaling up and spinning down of infrastructure and consistent network policies across clouds. The result was improved uptime and operational efficiency, the ability to migrate workloads during demand spikes, expanded customer reach without bandwidth degradation, and a lower total cost of ownership.
