Enabling Business Insurance Services and Its Call Centres with SD-Wan

Simply Business, a UK-based business insurance provider serving about 425,000 customers with roughly 400 employees and a 200-seat call centre, was hampered by a legacy MPLS network managed by a third party. The outdated infrastructure prevented two-way QoS and clear network visibility, locked the company to a single ISP with active/passive links, and created lengthy change-management bottlenecks that degraded voice quality and slowed site rollouts.

Simply Business engaged Breeze Networks to deploy VMware NSX SD‑WAN, replacing MPLS with SD‑WAN edges, gateways and a central orchestrator (including an early AWS-based call‑centre deployment). The solution delivered end-to-end visibility, single‑touch configuration, dynamic multi-path optimisation and active‑active ISP use, resulting in improved voice quality and QoS, optimized bandwidth, faster provisioning of new sites and the ability to make network-wide changes quickly.
