A VMware Case Study
Neuland Laboratories, a Hyderabad-based manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients with a global footprint, faced rising IT ownership costs from legacy infrastructure, dispersed hardware sprawl, and the risk of intellectual property loss because sensitive data lived on users’ desktops. Stringent pharma compliance and a lack of centralized visibility and control at remote sites made securing and managing the environment increasingly difficult.
Partnering with VMware (vSphere, vSAN, vRealize Operations and Horizon) and implementation partner Thin Cloud/RCV Innovations, Neuland virtualized compute and storage, gained operational insights, and deployed a VDI solution that delivers corporate desktops centrally to thin clients and remote users. The result was stronger data security and compliance, centralized policy control and capacity planning, faster provisioning, lower hardware and management costs, and improved user productivity with minimal downtime.
