College Secures Data and Applications and Equips Students to Meet Goals

Santa Barbara City College, a community college serving over 17,000 students in Santa Barbara, CA, needed to strengthen protection of student data, improve IT efficiency, and deliver campus applications to any device. With a small IT team and growing demands on services like the Ellucian Banner system, the college sought greater infrastructure visibility, faster troubleshooting, and more flexible desktop and application access.

SBCC upgraded its data centers to VMware vSphere 6.5 and deployed VMware NSX, vRealize Network Insight, vRealize Operations, and Horizon to virtualize networking, improve operations, and deliver virtual desktops and apps.
