Cinia Group, a Finland-based network, cloud and software services provider, extended its Lioncloud IaaS to meet a clear market need for reliable, secure disaster recovery. The company faced the challenge of building the first vCloud Availability–based DRaaS in Europe that would be fully automated, highly secure, cost-effective and integrated into Lioncloud on a tight schedule.

Cinia delivered Lioncloud DRaaS using VMware vCloud Availability for vCloud Director together with Fluentscale’s Service Delivery Platform and Cinia’s in‑house tools (cLog, cEye), enabling hybrid linking, native vSphere replication and instant VM recovery with SSO/2FA and multilayer security. The result was a fast time-to-market, a powerful, scalable and cost-efficient DRaaS—recognized as one of the first vCloud Availability implementations in Europe—that boosts customer acquisition and appeals to security-conscious customers with strict RTO/RPO requirements.
